Spreading Happiness through Creating Cards and Blogging: A Positive Journey

A search of holidays led me to Happiness Happens month (August) and the Happiness Happens Day Aug 8th.   That led me to the story behind  the holiday and once again searching the internet…

Heard of the expression ‘don’t rain on my parade’?  A group of people 25 years ago got together simply to share their happiness. They were tired of being ‘rained on’. From that humble start a movement started that we get to celebrate all month long!

I consider myself a happy person.  As a kid I came up with the idea if I had one wish it would be to be happy.  I thought then I’d do what I wanted and always be healthy. One wish and everything is covered.

I’ve learned so much with the passing of time, but I still want to be happy.  How about you? I found 2 different sites on-line that listed 14 things that bring happiness. Digging deeper I found articles listing 23 to 50 ideas. Plenty of resources to give you suggestions if you feel the need. I read two of the 14 idea lists and found some variety. Most of the things on the lists I’m already doing.

I’m fortunate to be in a position where I can craft cards and now write a blog.  Two things that make me happy. It started with card making decades ago.  I enjoyed a handmade card so much I decided to try making one myself.  I’ve been hooked ever since. I believe in the power of positive words. I started this blog to spread the word of my cards availability and happy news. To visit my Etsy shop, click PaperCraftedBliss – Etsy If you’re on Facebook look for and follow Paper Crafted Bliss. A pictural account behind the scenes, places I’ve been and list my live-events schedule in Texas, North of Dallas.  If you are in the area, come visit and see lots of items that will never be listed on Etsy.

If you have time check it out The Society of Happy People. They will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.  Happiness Happens 2024 – Society Of Happy People (sohp.com)

Tell others about these fun holidays. Feeling connected to others is one rung on the happiness ladder. Welcome comments. If you’re happy and you know it drop a line… Do you hear a tune and clapping in the background? Singing was on one list. Would love to know what you do to hold onto your bliss. Subscribe if you never one to miss another blog.

Hugs
